The Challenge
We were tasked with creating a robust personal brand that was easily scalable and timeless. Nicholas Jallette's personal brand needed to be scalable in many use cases, including as a small watermark in his compositions, and in his social media profiles. The logo design needed to reflect his bold, adventurous sports visuals.
The Solution
The final solution consisted of a bold "NJ" logomark created from the counter forms of the N. In addition to the logo mark, we paired this with a vibrant orange to show the experimental nature of Nick's work. With all these elements coming together to build a cohesive brand, it creates a system that is able to stand strong against trends.
The Approach
In order to rebrand Nicholas Jallette Creative, we started by deep diving into the competitive landscape from the standpoint of sports graphics. We began research into the nature of the industry, as well as speaking with Nicholas, to uncover what his original brand needed improvement on.
Armed with this knowledge, we began brainstorming ideas together, and after a few rounds of sketches came to a cohesive symbol. For this logo design, we heavily relied on typographic structure and counter forms of the letter N, to create the letter J reflected in the logo mark. With this in mind, we achieved the bold look showcased in the final solution.
